One of the great joys of our worship service is the music. From stirring chords on the organ to the gentle melody of a flute; from old-time hymn singing to modern praise groups; from classical to contemporary music, sung by a great sounding choir; from piano/flute to organ/trumpet duets; from guitar to banjo.
You name it and you're likely to hear it (or perform it!) at one time or another at First Reformed.

If you or your child are interested in joining any of these groups (or forming your own!) please contact our Organist/Choir Director via the church office. You don't have to be an expert musician. Of course we'd like you to be able to "carry a tune." It also helps if you have some basic music reading. But we have singers with wonderful voices, some accomplished bell ringers, and a variety of instrumentalists who can help you along. Here's a bit more about some of the music opportunities:

CHANCEL CHOIR: Adults who enjoy singing and can carry a tune. The choir is composed of soprano, alto, tenor and bass sections.
Rehearsals -- Wednesday evenings 7:30 pm and Sunday mornings 10:15 am. Summer hours may vary, often skipping Wednesdays in favor of a 10:00 am rehearsal on Sunday mornings. New members are always welcome.

BELL CHOIR: Young people and adults who enjoy making music. Rehearsals are weekly from September through May, usually Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. If you can play the bells or chimes, or if you read music and would like to learn how to play bells or chimes, please come join this choir.
